Epagnier is a place in the political municipality of La Tène in the Neuchâtel district in the canton of Neuchâtel .
In 1880 Epagnier had 65 inhabitants. In 1888, the formerly independent political municipality merged with Marin to form the municipality of Marin-Epagnier , which in 2009 merged with Thielle-Wavre to form today's municipality of La Tène. As part of a border relocation following the Zihl correction , the hamlet of Rothaus ( French: Maison-Rouge ) belonging to Epagnier was transferred to Gampelen in 1894 .
