La Tène is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Neuchâtel .
It was created on January 1, 2009 from the merger of the two municipalities Marin-Epagnier and Thielle-Wavre . The name of the new municipality is based on the prehistoric site of La Tène on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel.
The municipality consists of the localities Marin , Epagnier , Thielle and Wavre .
geography
La Tène is located about 6 km east of the city of Neuchâtel on the northeastern shore of Lake Neuchâtel . The Zihl Canal , which drains Lake Neuchâtel into Lake Biel, forms the eastern border of the municipality .
politics
The voting shares of the parties on the occasion of the 2015 National Council election were: SP 27.4%, FDP 27.2%, SVP 17.2%, CVP 8.8%, PdA 7.2%, GPS 6.0%, glp 3.3 %, BDP 1.1%, list you vote blanc 1.0%.
The municipal parliament ( conseil général ) consists of 41 seats that have been occupied since 2016 as shown in the diagram opposite.
