Lokeren is a Belgian city in the Flanders region . It is located in the province of East Flanders in the arrondissement of Sint-Niklaas .

Lokeren is 11 kilometers (km) southeast, Sint-Niklaas 12 km northeast, Ghent 20 km southwest, Antwerp 30 km northwest and Brussels 40 km southeast.
The city has a motorway junction on the A14 / E17 .
It has a train station on the Gent-Lokeren-Antwerp line and the Lokeren-Dendermonde-Brussels branch line.
