The Schleswig-Holstein Association League was held for the 57th time in the 2003/04 season and formed the substructure of the fourth-class Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein Oberliga. Due to the reduction of the Oberliga Nord to one season, no team rose directly. The first two took part in the promotion round. The teams in the last four places had to relegate to the district league.

Compared to the 2002/03 season , the composition of the league changed as follows: The FT Eider Büdelsdorf and TSV Kropp were in the Oberliga Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein, while TSB Flensburg was back from the Oberliga Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein in the Association League was relegated. The three relegated members had left the association league and were replaced by the four promoted TSV Bordesholm , TSV Bargteheide (both in the highest amateur league in Schleswig-Holstein for the first time), VfR Neumünster II (promotion after 40 years) and SV Eichede (promotion after five years).

Season course

The championship and participation in the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord secured the amateur team of VfB Lübeck. Second placed SV Henstedt-Rhen was also allowed to participate. While Lübeck won his group and rose, Henstedt-Rhen finished his group in third place and had to give way to HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst . The last four teams had to be relegated from the Association League: TSB Flensburg was passed from the Oberliga to the District Oberliga, TSV Pansdorf, VfR Schleswig and Rendsburger TSV each had to leave the Association League after two seasons.
