Model history
The quintet shared the technology with the Honda Civic (chassis) and the Honda Accord (engine and transmission). It represents the five-door addition to the Civic in the compact class. It was only available with a 1.6 liter engine that developed 59 kW (80 hp). The quintet was available with a five-speed gearbox or a two-stage automatic. In addition, speed-dependent power steering was standard. In Australia the vehicle was sold as the Rover Quintet . This was the first time a Honda model was sold as a Rover. The successor was the Honda Integra in 1985 .
