The 59th International Tennis Championships in Germany took place from August 2 to August 10, 1965 on the Rothenbaum in Hamburg .
Margaret Smith defended her title in both singles and doubles with Lesley Turner and also won in mixed alongside her compatriot Neale Fraser . In the men's doubles there was the first purely German victory since 1939 by Ingo Buding and Christian Kuhnke . The women's final reached Edda Buding . The men's singles were won by the South African Cliff Drysdale . Here Christian Kuhnke reached the semifinals.
