Problems with the approval process and completeness
The list cannot claim to be complete. For example, there are frequent interruptions in the area of classic car events or racing series in Northern Ireland , for example by pausing races for a certain period of time. At the beginning of motorization, it was common for races to be held on public roads. As early as 1907, races were banned in the German Reich, for example in Homburg , for safety reasons. The once large number of road races for cars and motorcycles has since been reduced by the responsible authorities due to the further restrictions on permits for both safety and environmental reasons. The races currently listed could also be affected in the future, as the decision of the state of Lower Saxony in the discussion about the Gumball 3000 shows.
