List of central banks and currencies of Africa

In addition to the central banks of the individual states, there are two currency communities in Africa that are linked to multinational central banks under French influence, the West African Central Bank (UEMOA) and the Central African Central Bank (BEAC). The currency of both communities is the CFA franc .
