People who worked on site
- Ludwig Börne was forced to spend the night in Bruchsal in 1820 because of a carriage damage and was not very enthusiastic about the forced stay: “The place where I set up my writing headquarters is called Bruchsal, but it is a sadness and a monster to me. If despair gives or takes a joke, I'll become a Voltaire or a cretan here. I want to get out of my skin if only one opening would be big enough to let me through, because I'm all swollen with anger. There has never been a beaten dog like me. I have only two wishes now. First, I wish ten thousand million thunderstorms to strike the cursed nest, and secondly, I wish the same thing again. "
