Martin Fuchs received his first own pony at the age of seven. In order to enable Fuchs to have carefree access to riding, the pony was not housed in the local stable, but in the neighboring village.

In 2006 he won the individual silver medal with Vasco IV at the European Championships for the Children age group (riders from 12 to 14 years on large horses) in Istanbul . Together with the Swiss mare Karin II CH , which he took over in 2006, he celebrated various successes in the juniors. Both won bronze medals at the European Junior Championships in 2007 and 2008, and Martin Fuchs also won silver at the Swiss Junior Championships in Basel in 2007 .

At the 2010 Youth Olympics in Singapore he was part of the European team ( Nicola Philippaerts , Wojciech Dahlke, Valentina Isoardi, Carian Scudamore), which won the gold medal here.
