The National Assembly of Malawi is the official legislative body of the Republic of Malawi in the unicameral system .

The National Assembly elected in 2019 has a total of 193 members. They are elected in electoral districts according to the majority vote and serve for a total of five years in office or legislative period. By-elections are possible. One seat remained vacant for the time being.

    The parliament building is located in the capital Lilongwe . It was built by Chinese construction companies, opened in June 2010, and cost around $ 41 million.
