Government House

The Island Council of Ascension ( English Iceland Council ) is since 1. November 2002 , the Parliament in unicameral of Ascension , an equal part of the British overseas territory Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha . The council is based in Government House in the capital, Georgetown .

His job is to advise the Ascension Administrator .

The last election took place in 2019 .

The parliament consists of five or seven members. The administrator presides over the island council in the absence of the governor .
