The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The doubles competition won the second seeded South Africans Rik De Voest and Izak van der Merwe . They defeated the unseeded Americans Nicholas Monroe and Donald Young in the match tie-break in the final . It was De Voest's 30th title in a doubles competition in the Challenger category. It was also his second tournament win of the season. For van der Merwe it was the eighth Challenger title of his career and also the second of the season. The US defending champions Lester Cook and David Martin did not take part in the tournament.
In the individual competition there was a cancellation in advance. After winning his first round match in the doubles competition, Jesse Levine was unable to take part in the individual tournament due to illness. For him, Andrew Anderson moved into the main draw as the lucky loser . In the doubles tournament, the top seeded South African pairing of Carsten Ball and Chris Guccione could not take part due to an injury to Guccione's quadriceps .
