The Oberelbische Verkehrsgesellschaft Pirna-Sebnitz mbH (OVPS) operated bus , tram lines and ferry connections on the Elbe in the former district of Saxon Switzerland . The bus lines and ferry connections of the OVPS were integrated into the Upper Elbe transport association . The traffic area encompassed large parts of the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district as well as branch lines to the state capital Dresden and the district of Bautzen .

OVPS was founded on February 10, 1992 as the successor to the passenger transport division of VEB Kraftverkehr Pirna. The company had two bus depots in Pirna and Sebnitz . In addition, there is the Bad Schandau depot , from which buses, trams and ferries are looked after.

On January 1, 2017 OVPS took over the shares of DB Regio in Regionalverkehr Dresden GmbH (RVD) , since then RVD has been 51 percent owned by OVPS. The remaining 49 percent are owned by the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district. Both companies together have 232 buses and employ 565 people (as of 2018). As of January 1, 2019, the two companies were merged and now operate under the name Regionalverkehr Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge GmbH (RVSOE).

Lines 208 (Pirna - Dippoldiswalde ) and 211 (Pirna - Freital ) operated between August 1, 2008 and December 23, 2008 . Both lines started operating as part of the Saxon district reform , mainly to move employees of the district office between the new locations. Half of the services were provided by OVPS and Regionalverkehr Dresden . Since the number of passengers remained well below expectations, the last trips were made on December 23, 2008.
