Oliver Fuchs

Oliver Fuchs (born January 5, 1968 in Locarno ) is a Swiss television producer. He is the former head of entertainment at ZDF . In 2010 he was  awarded the  German Television  Prize for the production of the series Rach, the Restauranttester and Rachs Restaurant School .

Life

Fuchs spent most of his childhood and youth in Tschiertschen-Praden . He attended the Bündner Kantonsschule in Chur from 1982 to 1989 and began working in the TV industry in 1991 while studying photography engineering from 1991 to 1993 at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences. Until 2004 he worked as an editor, production manager, production manager at German and international companies such as Fremantle Deutschland, Pearson Television and the RTL subsidiary Stormy Entertainment.

From 2004, Oliver Fuchs, as CEO, led the establishment of the Eyeworks -Germany Group into one of the leading independent TV and film producers in German-speaking countries and was responsible for the productions " Hape Kerkeling Live", "The Great IQ Test", " Daughter-in-law wanted ”,“ Wilsberg ”,“ Die Lottokönige ”or“ Rach, the restaurant tester ”, who u. a. were awarded the Bavarian and German Television Awards and the Golden Camera .

From October 2012, Fuchs was the head of the ZDF show's main editorial team and developed TV formats such as “ Bares for Rares ”, “ Die Anstalt ” and “Germany’s largest grill show”. Fuchs stepped because of the manipulated audience votes on the show “ Germany's Best! " back.

From 2015 to 2018 Oliver Fuchs was Managing Director of Bavaria Entertainment GmbH . In August 2017, Bavaria Entertainment announced the purchase of the Cologne-based production company Wellenreiter. In July 2018, Oliver Fuchs announced that he would step down from his position as managing director.

Oliver Fuchs then founded the media company Fabiola GmbH based in Cologne in October 2018. In addition to Oliver Fuchs and Ina Balint-Eck, the shareholders and founding members of Fabiola include the Belgian production companies Woestijnvis , Lecter Media and De Mensen .
