The Premjer League ( Kazakh and Russian Премьер-Лига ) is the highest football - League of Kazakhstan and since FIFA held -membership the country's 1,992th In the same year, the Kazakh Cup competition was held for the first time. Until 2001 the league was named Oberste Liga and from 2002 to 2007 the name Superliga .

The season of the Premjer League is adjusted to the calendar year and is played between March and November. In the regular season, all teams compete against each other in a home and away match. The best placed after the end of the regular season 6 play the championship in a playoff season. Those placed 7th to 12th in the regular season play off the relegation team in a relegation round. Playoff and relegation are also played in league mode.
