Radio Ennepe Ruhr has been a local radio station for the Ennepe-Ruhr district in North Rhine-Westphalia since August 31, 1991 . Started as Radio EN , in 2008 it was renamed Radio Ennepe Ruhr . The station is based at the Hagen radio station (together with Radio Hagen ). The editor-in-chief is Andreas Wiese.

program

Local programs are "Lars Hasenbein am Morgen" (6:00 to 10:00) on weekdays and "On the weekend" (9:00 to 12:00) on Saturdays. No local program is broadcast on Sundays. In addition, every half hour between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays, there is local news, local weather and local traffic as well as local advertising. The rest of the day's program comes from Radio NRW , the program provider for the 45 local radios in NRW.

Radio Ennepe Ruhr is obliged by the State Media Act NRW (LMG NRW) to broadcast community radio . At the moment these come from the operator Studio Witten . Until 2016 these came from the RuhrstadtStudio Witten , which is located in Ev. Witten Hospital was located. Another radio workshop was located in Gevelsberg until 2008 .

At the end of February 2020 it was announced that the marketer Westfunk wanted to withdraw from the operation of Radio Ennepe Ruhr at the end of the year. The reason given is the negative operating results. If no new operator can be found by the end of 2020, this would mean the end for the station.

Moderators

The daily morning show "Lars Hasenbein am Morgen" runs between 6 am and 10 am on weekdays. The extended morning team includes Regina Rademacher and Janine Berghoff as traffic moderators and Andreas Wiese as substitute moderator. The program "On the weekend" is presented on Saturday mornings, between 9 am and 12 noon, alternately by Daniel Rohde, Inga Heidl, Regina Rademacher or Andreas Wiese.

The Funke Mediengruppe has a 75 percent stake in Radio Ennepe Ruhr , the MFS Foundation with 24.9 percent and the Ennepe-Ruhr district with 0.1 percent. Marketing tasks in the area of ​​radio advertising were outsourced to Westfunk .

UPLINK Network GmbH from Düsseldorf has been responsible for the operation of the VHF frequencies since May 2016 .

Since the district town of Schwelm is supplied from the Wuppertal cable network , the transmitter cannot be fed into the cable network there. But it is represented in the Hagen cable network with the exception of the districts of Hohenlimburg and Eilpe .
