San Demetrio ne 'Vestini is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1931 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of L'Aquila in Abruzzo . The municipality is located about 18 kilometers southeast of L'Aquila . In 2009 the community was badly hit by the L'Aquila earthquake .
