Campotosto is an Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of L'Aquila in Abruzzo with (as of December 31, 2019) 487 inhabitants. The municipality is located about 22.5 kilometers north of L'Aquila in the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park , belongs to the Comunità montana Amiternina and borders directly on the provinces of Teramo and Rieti ( Lazio ).
