Pizzoli is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 4344 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of L'Aquila in Abruzzo . The municipality is located about 12 kilometers northwest of L'Aquila in the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park and is part of the Comunità montana Amiternina . The Aterno flows through the municipality.
