Aielli is an Italian commune with 1469 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of L'Aquila in Abruzzo . It is located 120 kilometers east of Rome and 61 kilometers southeast of L'Aquila .

geography

Aielli is located north of the Fuciner Basin in the Marsica landscape on the edge of Monte Sirente. The municipality belongs to the Sirente-Velino Regional Park . The district of Aielli Stazione along the railway in the plain belongs to the municipality. Further districts are Borgo Sardellino and Borgo Vicenna. Aielli is a member of the Comunità Montana Valle del Giovenco .

The neighboring towns are Celano , Cerchio , Collarmele , Ovindoli and San Benedetto dei Marsi .
