The municipal coat of arms was awarded with effect from March 1, 1961.

Description of the coat of arms : “In a green shield there is a slanted, silver wavy bar, on the lower right accompanied by a golden ear of wheat, on the upper left by a golden flag, whose flag leaf flying off to the left shows a black cross. The top of the flagpole is decorated with a cross. "

The municipal coat of arms is a symbol for everyone and everything that lives, blossoms and flourishes in the municipality. The staff of the cross is a symbol of St. John the Baptist . The oblique wave bar symbolizes the Saggautal or the Saggaubach itself. The golden ear stands for the fertility of the soil and the hard work of the population.
