The monastery building is a building at Münsterplatz 3 in Bern .

Previous buildings were the first Teutonic order house built before 1256. It disappeared during the construction of the minster after 1421. The second Teutonic Order House was built between 1427 and 1435. In 1485 the Order House was converted into a secular monastery .

The current building was based on plans by Albrecht Stürler and was built from 1745 to 1755 under the direction of Samuel Lutz and Ludwig Emanuel Zehender. The eastern extension was built in 1747 instead of the mat staircase and was extended in 1895. The western extension, the provisional house , was completed by Niklaus Hebler by 1755. The sculptural work on the facade was carried out by Johann Friedrich Funk . The monastery building is currently the seat of the cantonal economics department.
