Oron district
The district of Oron ( French District d'Oron ) was until December 31, 2007 an administrative unit of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland . The main town was Oron-la-Ville . The district ( French district ) was divided into the two districts ( French cercles ) Oron and Mézières .
The district consisted of 22 communities, was 76.01 km² and had 10,924 inhabitants (end of 2006).

Changes in the community
- January 1, 2002: Fusion of La Rogivue and Maracon → Maracon
- January 1st, 2008: Change of district of the municipality of Peney-le-Jorat from the district of Oron → district of Gros-de-Vaud
- 1 January 2008: District exchange of communities Carouge , Corcelles-le-Jorat , Ropraz and Vulliens from Oron District → District Broye-Vully
- January 1, 2008: Change of district of all remaining municipalities in the Oron district → Lavaux-Oron district
