al-Qiyama

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Al-Qiyāma ( Arabic القيامة al-Qiyāma  'The Resurrection') is the 75th sura of the Koran , it contains 40 verses . The sura is one of the early parts of the Qur'an that wasrevealedin Mecca (610–615). Their title refers to the first verse.

The sura is introduced with oaths on the day of resurrection and the soul . The eclipse of the moon and the union of the sun and moon are the foregrounds of the resurrection and the approaching last judgment . In terms of content, three parts can be distinguished, whereby the middle part with verses 16 to 19 explains the correct way of reciting the Koran . These four verses seem like an unexpected insertion that has struggled for Muslim commentators. The third and last part (from verse 20) complains about people's lack of preoccupation with the hereafter and their preference for this world, combined with excessive pride up to the hour of death.
