al-Anbiya
Al-Anbiya ( Arabic الأنبياء, DMG al-Anbiyāʾ 'The Prophets') is the 21st sura of the Koran , it contains 112 verses . The proclamation of the sura falls in the last years of the second Meccan period (615–620), although there were editorial changes in later times.
The sura begins with general statements about prophetic missions and monotheism . From verse 48 onwards, according to her name, she mentions numerous prophets, beginning with Moses and Aaron , Abraham and his fight against idolaters, Isaac and Jacob , Lot , Nuh , Dawud and Solomon , Job , Ishmael , Idris and Dhu l-Kifl , Jonas , Zakariya and his son Yahya , Isas , as well as Maria up to Gog and Magog . Statements about the final judgment and the prophetic mission of Muhammad form the final part of the sura .
