In 1945 Steinfeld came to the Soviet Union as a result of the war with northern East Prussia . In 1950 the place was renamed Trudewoi and at the same time assigned to the village soviet Mordowski selski Sowet, later called Tjuleninski selski Sowet , in Polessk Raion . From 2008 to 2016 Trudewoi belonged to the rural municipality Turgenevskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Polessk.
