history
Waldeck was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen . In 1732 the place consisted of 13 properties and a shepherd's house. The village and township government had the German Order held. The landlords were the Teutonic Order (eleven properties) and the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (two properties). By the end of the 18th century there were 14 properties. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Feuchtwangen .
With the community edict (early 19th century), Waldeck was assigned to the Weidelbach tax district . A little later the rural community of Waldeck was formed. It was subordinate to the Dinkelsbühl regional court in terms of administration and jurisdiction . In 1961 the municipality had an area of 3.186 km². In the course of the territorial reform , this was incorporated into Dinkelsbühl on April 1, 1971.
