Valery Alexeyevich Dolinin ( Russian Валерий Алексеевич Долинин ; born July 25, 1953 in Leningrad ) is a former Soviet rower who won two Olympic medals.

The 1.91 m tall Dolinin von Trud Leningrad received his first Olympic medal at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal , when the Soviet four-man without a helmsman with Raul Arnemann , Nikolai Kuznetsov , Valeri Dolinin and Anuschawan Gassan-Jalalov received the bronze medal behind the boats from the GDR and from Norway won. In 1977 Arnemann and Dolinin rowed in the Soviet eight , who won the silver medal behind the GDR eight at the world championships . The following year, Dolinin returned to the foursome. In the line-up of Vladimir Predbradzenski , Nikolai Kuznetsov, Valeri Dolinin and Anatoly Nemtyrjow , the four-man won the 1978 World Championships in New Zealand. At the 1979 World Championships , the four-man with the same crew took fourth place. In 1980, Dolinin was the only one left from the previous year's boat. Alexei Kamkin , Valeri Dolinin, Alexander Kulagin and Vitaly Jelissejew received the silver medal behind the GDR boat at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow . The following year, the Soviet four-man in the same line-up won the 1981 World Championships in Munich, ahead of the Swiss and the boat from the GDR. In 1982 in Lucerne, the Swiss took revenge in front of a home crowd, they won against the Soviet foursome.
