Philippe Lot

Philippe Lot (born June 13, 1967 in Gravelines ) is a former French rower . In 1993 he was world champion in the four without a helmsman .

Athletic career

The 1.89 m tall Philippe Lot was fifth in 1987 with the four-man with helmsman at the Match des Seniors, a forerunner competition to the U23 World Championships , and in 1988 he finished fourth. In 1989 he won the silver medal with the eighth .

He also competed at the World Championships in 1989 in Bled with the eighth and finished there in ninth place. 1990 Lot took part in the four without a helmsman at the World Championships in Tasmania and finished eighth. In 1991 in Vienna he reached fifth place in the four with helmsman. At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona , the French foursome started with the line-up of Yannick Schulte , Philippe Lot, Daniel Fauché , Jean-Paul Vergnes and helmsman Jean-Pierre Huguet-Balent . The French took second place in the preliminary run and the hope run, and in the final they rowed to fifth place.

In 1993 the French four-man without a helmsman competed at the World Championships in Račice u Štětí in the line-up of Daniel Fauché, Philippe Lot, Michel Andrieux and Jean-Christophe Rolland and won in front of the boats from Poland and the United States. In 1994 in Indianapolis the same rowers sat in the boat and won silver behind the Italian foursome. In 1995 Bertrand Vecten , Olivier Moncelet rowed with Fauché and Lot to fourth place at the World Championships in Tampere .
