Vitaly Mikhailovich Jelissejew ( Russian Виталий Михайлович Елисеев ; born February 26, 1950 in Gəncə , AsSSR ) is a former Soviet rower .

The 1.90 m tall Vitaly Jelissejew from Burewestnik Moscow won together with Alexander Kulagin at the 1977 World Championships in two-man without a helmsman . In 1980, Kulagin and Jelissejew, together with Alexei Kamkin and Valeri Dolinin, formed a new Soviet four-man without a helmsman . At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow , these four rowers received the silver medal behind the GDR boat. The following year, the Soviet four-man in the same line-up won the 1981 World Championships in Munich, ahead of the Swiss and the boat from the GDR. In 1982 in Lucerne, the Swiss took revenge in front of a home crowd, they won against the Soviet foursome.
