Dorian Denis Mortelette (born November 24, 1983 in Martigues ) is a French rower .

Mortelette was 2000 Junior World Championship runner in the quadruple sculls , 2001, the French quadruple sculls won the title. In 2006 Mortelette reached sixth place with the four without a helmsman at the World Championships in Eton , a placement that the French four repeated in 2007 in Munich . In the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing won Julien Despres , Germain Chardin , Benjamin Rondeau and Dorian Mortelette the bronze medal behind the British and Australians. At the European Championships in 2008 , Mortelette won the title with eighth .

In 2009 Chardin and Mortelette rowed in twos without a helmsman; the two finished fourth at the world championships . At the European Championships , the two competed with the French eighth and received the bronze medal. In September 2010, Jean-Baptiste Macquet , Julian Desprès, Germain Chardin and Dorian Mortelette finished fifth in the four without a helmsman at the European Championships in Montemor . At the beginning of November, the French won the World Championships on Lake Karapiro in New Zealand with the same line-up . The same four rowers took thirteenth place at the 2011 World Championships .

In the 2012 Olympic season, Chardin and Mortelette competed again in two without a helmsman. They won the last Olympic qualification in Lucerne and took second place in the Olympic regatta behind the New Zealanders Hamish Bond and Eric Murray . At the 2013 European Championships , Chardin and Mortelette finished fourth with the French eighth. In the two without a helmsman, Bond and Murray won the 2013 World Championships ahead of Chardin and Mortelette. In 2014, the two French only rowed in eighth place, with which they finished fifth at the European and World Championships . In 2015, Chardin and Mortelette competed at the European Championships in two and won silver behind the British James Foad and Matt Langridge . At the 2016 Olympics , the two French took fifth place.

The 1.94 m mortelette rows for the CSMA rowing club in Martigues. Dorian's older brother Donatien was eighth in the 2004 Olympic sixth.
