The community, which consists of several settlement parts, extends in a panoramic location on the upper southern slope of the Montagne de Sion, a western branch of the Salève , high above the Usses valley , in the Genevois .
The area of the 6.07 km² large municipal area includes a section of the Genevois. To the south the community area extends into the wooded area of the Bois Chardon . To the east of the municipality is the important Col du Mont Sion pass ( 785 m ).
The municipality of Andilly consists of three clearly separated small villages and some farms:

- Jussy ( 735 m ) on the main road high above the Usses valley
- Saint-Symphorien ( 660 m ) on a ledge above the Usses valley
Andilly's neighboring communities are Vers and Présilly in the north, Saint-Blaise in the east, Copponex in the south and Cernex in the west.
history
In 1860, Andilly was assigned to the newly created canton of Cruseilles , previously it belonged temporarily to the canton of Saint-Julien-en-Genevois . Due to the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons, the allocation changed again in 2015, and Andilly is now part of the canton of La Roche-sur-Foron .
Attractions
The church of Saint-Symphorien was built in the 15th century and later remodeled. In Charly there is a chapel which is dedicated to Saint-Jacques and was also built in the late Gothic style in the 15th century.

With 900 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) Andilly is one of the small communities in the Haute-Savoie department. In the course of the 19th and 20th centuries, the number of inhabitants decreased continuously due to strong emigration (in 1861, Andilly still had 681 inhabitants). Since the beginning of the 1980s, however, there has been a significant increase in population thanks to the attractive residential area.
Economy and Infrastructure
Andilly is still today a predominantly agricultural village. There are also some local small businesses. A large number of workers are commuters who work in the larger towns in the area as well as in the Annecy and Geneva-Annemasse area.
The place is well developed in terms of traffic. The Jussy district is located on the N201 ( Saint-Julien-en-Genevois- Annecy). Other road links exist with Valleiry , Cernex and Saint-Blaise. The closest connection to the A41 motorway is around 10 km away.
