The Brühlbergturm (also known as the Brüelbergturm ) is a transmission tower on the Brüelberg in Winterthur , Switzerland , whose viewing platform is open to the public.
It was built in 1994 and is 130 meters high. The slim supporting structure is made of reinforced concrete . On the occasion of its 200th anniversary in January 1995, the Rieter company donated the viewing platform to the people of Winterthur.
Another lookout tower located a little higher in the area of the city of Winterthur is the Eschenbergturm .
Ascent
The viewing platform can be reached via a spiral staircase attached to the outside of the tower via 176 steps. The ascent is only suitable for those with a head for heights because of the very airy construction.

The viewing platform at a height of 34 meters is rather simple, there is no seating and no panorama boards.

Large parts of Winterthur can be seen to the north and west . Otherwise, the forests around the Brühlbergturm can mainly be seen.

A fireplace with seating is available right next to the observation tower.
getting there
From the Oberfeld district in Winterthur, you can climb the 80 meters in altitude to the Brühlberg tower via various dirt roads in around 20 minutes.
