Brion is a French municipality with 299 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Saône-et-Loire in the Région Bourgogne Franche-Comté . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Autun and the canton of Autun-2 (until 2015: canton of Mesvres ). The inhabitants are called Brionnais .
geography
Brion is about ten kilometers southwest of the city center of Autun . Brion is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Monthelon in the north, Autun in the east and northeast, Mesvres in the south and southeast, Étang-sur-Arroux in the southwest and Laizy in the west.
