Marmagne is a French municipality with 1242 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Autun and the canton of Autun-2 (until 2015: canton of Montcenis ). The inhabitants are called Marmignauds .

geography

Marmagne is about 13 kilometers south-southeast of Autun . Marmagne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Autun in the north and northwest, Antully in the north and northeast, Saint-Sernin-du-Bois in the east, Le Creusot in the southeast, Montcenis in the south, Saint-Symphorien-de-Marmagne in the west and Broye in the northwest .

The former route nationale 80 (today's D680) runs through the municipality .
