Mary is a French municipality with 245 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ); it belongs to the Arrondissement Autun (until 2017: Chalon-sur-Saône ) and is part of the canton of Blanzy (until 2015 Mont-Saint-Vincent ).

Mary is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mont-Saint-Vincent in the north and northwest, Collonge-en-Charollais in the north and northeast, Joncy in the east, Saint-Martin-la-Patrouille in the southeast, and Saint-Marcelin-le-Cray in the south South-east, Le Rousset-Marizy in the south and south-west and Gourdon in the west and north-west.
