Épinac is a French commune with a population of 2,217 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Autun and the canton of Autun-1 (until 2015: canton of Épinac ). The inhabitants are called Épinacois .

Épinac is on the Drée . Épinac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Thury in the north, Molinot in the northeast, Aubigny-la-Ronce in the east, Saisy and Morlet in the southeast, Auxy in the south and Sully in the west.

Attractions
- Priory of Le Val-Saint-Benoît, founded in the 13th century, abandoned in the 17th century, in use again since the 1970s, since 1982 for the Monastic Family of Bethlehem, the Assumption of Mary and St. Bruno
- Épinac Castle (formerly Monestoy Castle ), originally built in the 11th century, rebuilt into the 18th century, restored in the 20th century
- Houttinger mine, coal mine in operation since 1863/1871, closed in 1936, with the so-called Malakoff tower, monument historique since 1992
