Charmoy is a French municipality with 257 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Autun and the canton of Autun-2 (until 2015: canton of Montcenis ). The inhabitants are called Cardémusiens .

geography

Charmoy is located about 21 kilometers south of Autun on the Sorme River . The river is dammed up to the lake Étang de la Sorme , which is partly in the municipality. Charmoy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Symphorien-de-Marmagne in the north, Montcenis in the northeast, Les Bizots in the east, Blanzy in the southeast, Saint-Berain-sous-Sanvignes in the south, Saint-Eugène in the west and southwest, La Tagnière in the West as well as Uchon in the northwest.
