Les Bizots is a French municipality with 465 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Autun and the canton of Blanzy (until 2015: canton of Montcenis ). The inhabitants are called Bizotins .

geography

Les Bizots is located about twelve kilometers south-southeast of Autun and about 35 kilometers west-southwest of Chalon-sur-Saône . The river Sorme is dammed up to the lake Étang de la Sorme , which is partly in the municipality. Les Bizots is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montcenis in the north, Torcy in the east and northeast, Saint-Eusèbe in the southeast, Blanzy in the south and Charmoy in the west.
