Laizy is a French municipality with 579 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in Saône-et-Loire in the Région Bourgogne Franche-Comté . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Autun and the canton of Autun-2 (until 2015: canton of Mesvres ).

geography

Laizy is about ten kilometers southwest of the city center of Autun on the Arroux River. At the eastern border of the municipality, the Méchet flows into the Arroux. Laizy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Grande-Verrière in the north and north-west, Monthelon in the north-east, Brion in the east, Étang-sur-Arroux in the south, La Comelle in the south-west and Saint-Léger-sous-Beuvray in the west.
