Costa Book Award

The Costa Book Award , previously the 2006 Whitbread Book Award , is a British literary prize that has been awarded since 1971. It is sponsored by the café chain Costa Coffee , which is part of the Whitbread group.

Modalities

The prize is awarded annually in five categories:

Also each few days later addition since 1985 of the winners of these categories Book of the Year (dt. Book of the Year named).

Each category award is endowed with 5,000 pounds , the book of the year an additional 30,000 pounds.
