Charles "Chuck" Daigh (* 29. November 1923 in Long Beach , California ; † 29. April 2008 in Newport Beach , California) was an American racing driver , who is also several times in the automotive world championship started. In some races of the USAC Stock Car Series Daigh took part under the pseudonym "Charles George".

Career

In the season 1960 he played as number 1 driver and chief mechanic first four Grand Prix for the team Scarab of Lance Reventlow , although he ultimately only one race, the Belgian Grand Prix went to the start. However, he dropped out there during the race. The Grand Prix of Great Britain denied Daigh for the team Cooper , but he also fell here during the race. For the final race of the season, the US Grand Prix , he returned to Scarab one more time, finishing in tenth place. Daigh scored no championship points in his short automobile world championship career.

His greatest achievement was overall victory in the Sebring 12-hour race in 1959 .
