Yunnan Province Monuments

The Yunnan Province Monuments List ( Chinese  雲南省 文物保護 單位  /  云南省 文物保护单位 , Pinyin Yúnnán shěng wénwù bǎohù dānwèi  - "Monuments of the Yunnan Province") is one of the Yunnan Province Cultural Objects Office ( 云南省 文物 局 , Yunnan sheng wenwu ju ) List of monuments of protected historical sites and cultural assets drawn up in the People's Republic of China . They are determined by the People's Government of Yunnan Province and announced by the State Council of the People's Republic of China .

A first list was drawn up in 1965, a second in 1983. It has since been expanded several times over (see overview). The list includes significant sites for history, religion, art and science: buildings, tombs, ancient architecture, monasteries, stone inscriptions and others.

Some of the monuments of Yunnan Province are also on the List of Monuments of the People's Republic of China .
