The Large Television Festival has been an annual event organized by the State Media Authority of North Rhine-Westphalia (LfM) since 2006 , during which national and international TV productions were presented as previews in the cinema. Up until 2010, the Großes Fernsehen festival was also the prelude to the Medienforum.NRW specialist media congress . In 2013 the festival took place for the last time as part of the redesign of the Medienforum.NRW.

history

The Großes Fernsehen festival had established itself as a permanent fixture for German TV broadcasters and producers and from 2011 took place regularly independently in Cologne, whereby the close connection to Medienforum.NRW was maintained. The organization and implementation of the event was - as for the Medienforum.NRW - with LfM Nova GmbH. In addition to the main event, specials from the Großes Fernsehen festival were held at irregular intervals, in which individual series such as B.
