Sporting success in gliding

Gliding League as part of the OLC

From 2008 to 2011 the SFZ Ottengrüner Heide e. V. in the 1st German Glider League of the online contest . From the 2012 season in the 2nd German glider flight division of the online contest.

In the 2014 season in the 2nd glider league, the SFZ was able to secure the renewed promotion to the 1st glider league with 6th place overall. In the following season in 2015, the Bundesliga team was able to secure relegation in the 1st glider Bundesliga with a furious final sprint and a third place in the last Bundesliga round. In 2016, after a consistently weak season against relegation, you still had to accept this in the end. In the following season of the 2nd Bundesliga glider flight, some pilots were eliminated from the Bundesliga team, which is why another relegation to the qualifying league (which was also the Bavarian State League) was the result. The SFZ team flew in this from 2018 to 2019. By building up new young pilots and introducing them to the sporty cross-country flight, the renewed promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga was achieved in the 2019 season. The goal for the 2020 season remains relegation in the 2nd Bundesliga.
