The special airfield Grabenstätt , also Falkenhorst Grabenstätt, is the airfield of the Upper Bavarian municipality of Grabenstätt . He is managed by Josef Langbauer sen. operated.

geography

The airfield is located in Chiemgau , immediately north of the Grabenstätter industrial park and halfway to the Marwang district at an altitude of 537  m above sea level. NN . The Tiroler Ache flows three kilometers to the west towards the Chiemsee , and one kilometer to the southeast is the Tüttensee . The state border with Austria runs 20 kilometers south .

history

Aviation has been in operation in Grabenstätt since 1974 and the area has been continuously expanded since then.

Airfield and equipment

The airfield is approved for aircraft of all types up to 2000 kg maximum take-off weight (MTOW).

There is a farm building, a ground-level flight control center and two hangars.

In consideration of a nearby bird sanctuary, flight operations are limited due to noise protection reasons.

traffic

A municipal road opens up the airfield via the state road St 2096 of the federal motorway 8 south of Grabenstätt . The public transport does not serve the airport directly. In Übersee , to the south- west, and at the south-east Bergen train station, there are boarding options for the Rosenheim – Salzburg line .
