The airfield Jesenwang is a special airfield for general aviation in the district of Fürstenfeldbruck in Munich and is operated by the airfield Jesenwang GmbH. Airplanes up to a maximum take-off weight of 3 tons, helicopters up to a maximum take-off weight of 5.7 tons, microlights , self-launching gliders and balloons are allowed to take off and land there.

Flight operations

A special feature of the airfield is the junction of the railway in the west7 with the local connecting road Jesenwang - Adelshofen . For aircraft take-off and landing, traffic is stopped by a traffic light to prevent aircraft and cars from approaching.

Despite its cramped location and short runway, Jesenwang airfield is at the top of the German special airfields in terms of the number of flight movements and in the front area of German airfields in general. This is due to its almost exclusive position as a place for general aviation in the Munich area. The closure of the Fürstenfeldbruck airfield is likely to increase the importance of the airfield.

The Munich-Jesenwang flight school (private pilot and ultralight training), Air Charter Luftfahrt GmbH, Weiss H. Flugelektronik, GILWA Luftfahrttechnik GmbH and an airport restaurant are located on the site of the airfield. There is a test site directly adjacent to the airfield. This is used for driving safety training, vehicle development, filming and much more.
