The airfield Dachau Gröbenried is a special airfield north-west of Munich within the community Bergkirchen located. It is approved for motor gliders , gliders , ultralight aircraft and powered aircraft (SEP / MEP) up to a maximum weight of 2000 kg and was used for factory flights that were associated with the former operator - Scheibe-Flugzeugbau GmbH . The airfield is currently owned by the Aero Club Dachau . There are flight operations on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

As part of the search for a new location for Munich-Riem Airport , the area of this airfield was also discussed. a. also because the new airport would have been very conveniently located close to the A 8 motorway towards Augsburg .
