The airfield Mindelheim-Mattsies is a special airfield of Grob Aircraft AG and is located 6.4 km (distance) northeast of the city Mindelheim in Flossachtal - northwest of the district of Mattsies , a suburb of the municipality Tussenhausen in Unterallgäu .

On September 29, 2006, a prototype of a Grob G180 SPn launched in Mattsies crashed due to a fluttering elevator. The pilot Gérard Guillaumaud was killed.
